Antialiasing 'ON' significantly reduces quality
To whom it may concern, I have the Index -- if you have the Antialiasing setting on 'ON' the world becomes significantly more blurry. I am uncertain what type of antialiasing is that causes that but it even creates issues with moving objects such as moving the paddle in front of you, it causes some ghosting issues.

Turning it OFF (or MSAA setting, which is what I end up using) significantly improved the graphics quality of the game, so I would suggest checking that out if you feel like the game is blurry, as AA was 'ON' by default for me.

Pixel density is what gives a good image quality. I have it on 1.2. Combined with no AA, sharpen slider to the right, no amd sharpen, but dlss best quality and highest sharpness setting. Works quite well with hp reverb and 3070 for a clear image.

The default anti-aliasing option for the game is called TAA, which smoothes, but also blurs the graphics a fair bit, especially for VR. It's the most performant AA solution though so we made it the default, we'll also be offering some more aggressive sharpening for it in the next patch but I totally get your preference to turn it off or turn on MSAA. MSAA is definitely a big hit in performance though so you can even try turning off AA altogether and upping the pixel density like hagerau suggested :)

Are there any new techniques to improve the graphics even more like ray tracing or something else? i saw that you plan to move the game to unreal engine 5 later and if so does it allow to use way more polygons on the mountains and even more detail on the water?

I think the highest on our list would be to use Nanite in the future, raytracing and increased water fidelity would be really hard to make work without other improvements in performance but I'm hopeful that Nanite could work, although it's not yet compatible with VR so we haven't been able to test it.

Hopefully it will be compatible soon, volumetric clouds would be awesome too if its possible. I guess it would be easier to pull this off on a PSVR2 than on pc because of its eye tracking.
