Hotboxes can be fixed at repair tracks!
I can't get the dad-burned thing to move at all to the repair track...that's where i was trying to take it. even at or under 15mph
Is it, apart from having a hotbox, also derailled?
I've not had a hot box so far myself, so when you say it 'flagged a hotbox', do you specifically mean the engine itself as having a hotbox or the train as a whole? Because the way you said it flagged again as soon as you hooked back up to the rollingstock it sounds like the issue is with one of them rather than the engine.
With regards to the OP, I would also check to see if the brakes are on at all. A lot of the smaller engines can't pull through an engaged hand- or air-brake.
Edit: Just had a 49 car delivery and 10 of the cars were just 40% oiled, which would mean a very high probability of getting at least 1 hotbox. You only need to click the oiled on 1 axle of any unit to complete the oiling, loco or car.
The Inspector panel on the GP9 was reporting a hotbox; actually, two. I supposedly repaired it but then it started reporting one again. I have disabled the hotboxes in the Settings panel but the hotbox is still showing up and preventing the engine from moving above 15mph.
Can you send me your game logs and game save? Is your game modded at all?
You can email them to me at Connor@Giraffelab.com
