Moving interchange
Is it possible to move my interchange to, say, Bryson?

Sadly not! But you can expand your railroad to Sylva and the interchange is moved there.

nope :lunar2019deadpanpig: would be a bit strange that the other train company pass your half track system to deliver you the cars

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks for the replies :)

I'm too inexperienced to know if I would even want to move the interchange anywhere else, but it just seemed Bryson had slightly better facilities and more yard space.

I thought this when I first start playing (being a non-railfan). But I figured out that the end of your line marks the end of your territory and the beginning of the next company's. But maybe that becomes a project for you: move things to Bryson yard and then organize from there :)

An interchange is not intended to be a yard. An interchange is trackage where (typically) a Class One railroad (CSX, NS, etc) exchanges cars with you so you can service local customers where the Class One doesn't run. (has no track). In Railroader most of your traffic will be interchange traffic. You have logs, pulpwood, coal, and copper that originates on your trackage (and you purchase and own the cars) but most all other traffic is brought to you at the two interchanges and returned to same.

When you buy the line on down to Sylva and the interchange moves to there from Whittier, you can build a decent sized yard at Dillsboro with an engine facility just like Bryson's.

There is a mod available that places another interchange at north Bryson. You will still have the East Whittier interchange with this mod. Look on the Nexus Mod site.
