Need some railloader help

Tried mentioning it in the discord but got no answers, so trying my luck here now.

Recently I decided to update everything I could to play the most recent update but with mods. Cleaned out the entire mod list and downloaded everything that was up to date. Updated UMM and Railloader through their recommended update methods, however with Railloader I now have a problem. I've tried starting my game with it enabled, and UMM works fine, but when Railloader is active my game only boots as a background task. Tried verifying files and re-enabling Railloader, same thing. Cleared out mod list? Same thing.

I just have a simple question of "Is this a known thing and is there a known fix?", because I cannot find anything on the topic nor does completely reinstalling railloader work as well. Checked the installed mods too, most of them I had before the update which work fine together and I did install all required dependencies

That's kind of weird. I have both UMM and Railloader running (although no mods installed) and don't have any issues. I've been seeing lots of posts in the last several days that Strange Customs is causing all sorts of strange problems. But if you're seeing this with an empty mod list, SC isn't the problem (this time)!

Sorry I can't be more help. Hopefully someone else has run into this problem and can provide some suggestions of things to try.

I have a couple of dozen mods running on mine and no issues like you are describing. My only issue is graphics which is supposed to be a problem with Strange Customs. (Right now, they're worried more about protesting tariffs than having a functional website apparently.)

I am running both UMM and Railloader with 119 mods active but no problem like you have encountered. Zero, zip, nada. Wish I could point you in the right direction. email [e-mail] He is one of the DEVs. He might be able to help.

Like we can do anything about the political subject being protested. Guess that individual doesn't care about us. Actions speak louder than words!

Oi oi oi, I am thankful for any advice that can be given, but PLEASE keep any kind of political or other subject-based arguments out of here. Nearly everywhere on Steam these topics get derailed due to them, and simply put, I don't want this one to do so either.

Necro-ing this thread abit because I am facing the exact same issue, except that I'm running a fresh install of Railroader, no mods, no saves.

On download of the game and letting it boot once, then stopping the game, then running railloader, the next time I try to boot the game, it boots as a background task.

When verifying game files, it says "1 files failed to validate and will be re-acquired". No idea what file is it though, although this leads me to believe that it could be whatever allows the main game to boot normally

As far as I can tell, the issue seems to be between railloader v1.10.0.2 and the latest version of the game

If you've found that the issue lies on the latest version of railloader, do you perhaps know how to download a previous version of it? Tried contacting but didn't get a response yet and there does not appear to be a github for earlier releases.

On the bright side, I have found the issue, I was using Railloader v1.8 instead of v1.10 for some reason, maybe have a look at that

For me its specifically just railloader v1.10. As stated before, it worked fine before I updated both the game and railloader, but after verifying it loads back, but as soon as I patch railloader back in again it's only launching to background
