Aux Tenders
As the railroad is in a mountainous region, I think it would only make sense if aux tenders were added for nonstop services, such as cross-map passenger trains.

While it is mountainous, length is the main driver for aux tenders to be needed. This line is less than 100 miles long end to end and there are enough coal towers and water tanks along the way to mitigate the need for aux tenders.

the B-65 Berkshire and the P-71 Santa Fe can each pull a passenger train the entire length of the map without needing to stop for coal or water, providing you topped off before your run.
