Need signal help

Is there some kind of tutorial for using signals? Ever since I bought them I’ve had nothing but signal stops and wrecks. I thought signals would make my life easier but it’s been anything but grief. I usually just switch to manual and drive right through the signal stops until I can get back to waypoints. I know that’s not the way it’s supposed to be. Help

If you are using the ABS mode, which I believe is what you mean by manual, if you encounter a stop signal that means either a train is ahead of you or you have an "open" switch, a switch that is not set for the track you are on.

ABS will not stop wrecks if you run a red, but your AI engineers will obey signal indications.

When passing a red make sure that you know what is ahead of you.

You don't even have to switch to manual to pass signals. Click the little triangle in the bottom right when the AE is coming up to or is stopped at a red, then choose "Pass signal" but you MUST be aware of whats ahead.

Lionking CMSL, I appreciate your offer but I don’t think I have a way to do a voice chat my PC is hooked up to my 55” flat screen and I don’t have a microphone. Maybe you might know how we could do it I don’t. BTW I’m from Matawan don’t live there now unfortunately

We could always do voice by a phone call.

I live close to Vineland and if you are in this area maybe we could meet and do it it face to face.

Phone would be a good idea, unfortunately I no longer live in NJ but if you're willing to do some kind of a multiplayer with a phone hook up I'm up for that

No problem with doing a phone version. If you have discord my discord name is the same as here and we can exchange phone numbers.

Nobody knows how discord works! It’s a dire platform.
I used it once and all I could read - regardless of filtering- was people filling threads full of yabbering nonsense, arguing (no surprise) threats from admin banning (again no surprise)
I was on Barents Sea. (Fishing sim), Starfield, and Farming sim.

It was utter dreadful waste of my time.
I deleted it and would rather do without if that’s the best platform for ‘news’.
I just call it Disgorge, because that’s what it’s full of.

Why would you go to discord daily if news is 'whenever' about any of your games??? It's as bad as here then -if that's the case. It's just another Twitter/X.
I certainly want to read news and not people's daily lives or general junk!

Bobby, while I'm not the OP your comments are not germane to our conversation.

I and I would believe many people do not use Discord for a news service but to get in contact with other minded people. That was the reason for willlist0 downloading the platform, so we could contact each other privately and not to read the news.

While you are free to have your own opinions on things try not to insert them into conversations that do not directly relate to you.
