New Chuff = horible!
I'm still playing with the original 10-wheeler as the loco for my passenger service, the only steam loco I have, and I think the new chuff sound is absolutely horrible. First time playing after the update, I'm only doing 25mph and the loco is chuffing so fast, for a minute I thought I was playing a military game and flying a chinook to the front lines of a war.

The way the sound worked before was fine, you just needed a better transition from the chuffing sound of getting the locomotive going to when it was cruising. Now, you have a decent chuff sound, but all you did was just repeat the sound faster and faster as you pick up speed, but repeats too quick too soon because it sounds like I should be going 100mph when I'm only going 25mph.

Does the chuff sound the same for all steam locos or does only the 10-wheeler sound this way? Looks like I'm going to have to buy another diesel switcher and use it as my passenger loco because I don't want to listen to this. I rather have the old sound file back.

I told my wife it sounds like a damn helicopter is flying by. It does sound pretty awful. Please devs, either change it back or rework it.

The Chuffs are excellent! you have 4 chuffs per wheel rotation as in real live! so get use to it, or adjust the chuff sound in the sound menu. :steamhappy:

It's less bad than that brutal transition that we had before. Give them some time, I'm sure they already know this isn't ideal. May also not be the easiest thing to design or code. The throttle and the johnson bar having a multiplicative or dependant behavior one to the other makes my head hurt just trying to think how that logic would look lol. They got us a hotfix for wear and tear in a short few days. I'm sure they'll get the sound lined out a quickly as they are able.
