But seriously, there are 2 ways this game is modded, and you can use both, even if you run it under Proton in Linux.
There is the Steltis mod loader aka Railloader that is mostly used for interesting stuff like track mods and the like.
Then there is Unity Mod Manager, both of these are extra stuff you need to install, which one you need is dependent on the mod you currently have, some may even require BOTH.

Check the documentation for each mod for possible other requirements. Also check for potential compatibility issues, especially if you want to in stall a lot of extensions to the original map and make to avoid adding conflicting tracks.
