Skip Station Stop.
I'm just running passenger services & freight and I'm running a passenger car from station-to-station at the moment & I was thinking it'd be helpful to have a way to skip a station stop especially if you don't have freight bound for a certain stop, like in Hemmingway or Ela if you don't have anything for the tracks there.
Edit: thinking about it more, an idea of instead of calling it "skip station stop" if you're stopped at the station it could be "skip to departure".

For your reputation you need to stop at all stations. I keep passengers and freight separated in separate trains and have two passenger trains, one for each direction. The next day eacxh train runs in opposite direction. I make good money with this, about $2000 at the moment. You also can not check the station stops in the passenger coaches.if you don't want to stop.
I believe you only need to stop at a station once per day for it to count as 'serviced'. As long as you're running one later, you can always skip a station if you're running a mixed goods in the morning for instance.

I know you only need to stop there once, I am simply doing it for extra cash.

I prefer stopping at all stations even if you don't have pax for that stations and there are no pax waiting. (How can you know that IRL?).
But if you want to pass a station knowing you don't have freight/pax to/from that station there are two ways you can do it (afaik):
- unchecking the destination (as mentioned :steamthis:)(and later recheck it);
- go to 'manual driving' before the stop en return to 'AI' afterwards.

I agree that a 'skip next stop' button would be nice.

Request stops are a thing. The train will slow on approach to the station such that it can make the stop if need be, and usually also whistle so anyone waiting ie in a shelter knows that the train is approaching, but the onus is on anyone waiting to board to signal to the driver* that they wish to do so and that the train should make the stop. Passengers wishing to alight are handled either via a different departure bell/buzzer being given to the driver from the previous stop, or the guard simply speaking to them about whether they have passengers on board for the next (or any, if there are multiple request stops in sequence) request-only stop.

*In good time! No good popping out of a shelter as the train is entering the platform with power back on because the driver saw no one and then expect them to stop for you.

All active stations, yes. You can stop serving a station and it will turn off after 10 days.
