Parts boxcar returned (but not returned) early
I've had/have a slight hiccup with sending a boxcar off to get repair parts.
Yesterday (ingame) I purchased and sent off with my outbound interchange a boxcar to get parts, it went and I was charged as expected.
Today ingame there was nothing unusual until I took an early afternoon nap whilst waiting for something to do, slept 2 hours approx 12:30→14:40 after which there were several wagons in the freight tab at Whittier, one of which is allegedly my boxcar to move from Whittier to East Whittier Repair Track, which would be the appropriate movement for it, were it not still at Atlantic Loco.
I can select it for my switch list, when I navigate to the supposed location there is, unsurprisingly, nothing there:

Company>Equipment still believes the wagon is at Atlantic Loco as it should be:

Anyone else had something similar happen?
I'm guessing due to the timing of it appearing it's caused by sleeping, or has anyone had a different trigger?

And do I need to hire some goons to go reclaim my wagon or will Atlantic Loco actually return it tomorrow as planned?

It is a known issue that we are working to fix. The cars will stay gone for at least 24 hours.

Good to hear it's known, and purely visual issue.

I've had a similar but worse issue with one of my coal hoppers. I run my game modded, and I can't remember if the function to request an extra service of the interchange is vanilla or not, but I did that to try and get my first fresh coal hopper earlier. I then called another early interchange 24 hours after that, and got nothing. It's now been well over two in game days, I bought, sent off, and received back another coal hopper, and the coal company is still holding my original one hostage. Will it come back on it's own? Is this just a bug with the game, or is the calling extra interchange servings thing a modded behavior that's bugged with the new update? And is there a console command I can do to summon back my hopper car, or do I just need to accept the fact that Carolina Coal has nicked it for good?

Requesting an extra interchange service is a vanilla function, although I guess it's possible there is an edge case where this messes with consumable purchases since it is new functionality after all, or possibly a bad mod interaction has caused CC to become perfidious.
I think the workaround if CC have indeed made off with your wagon would be to switch to sandbox and spawn a replacement wagon, along with using /money cheat to 'refund' yourself the amount paid for ordering the coal. Or I guess you could just /money cheat for the total amount (coal and wagon) since you already bought a new wagon, if you don't want 2.

It finally came back, but it took about 5 in game days, and there have been a couple of updates since it first happened, so maybe whatever was happening got fixed or somethign.
