If we can place our own markers, then we get to set where we want to jump to on the map.

**Edit - The markers you set would only be visible when you have the menu open from the top right. This way they are not visible while you're playing.
That is a great idea.
Here is another idea that could be even more simple to use.
Keep the menu in the upper right as I described earlier, still works the same. What's different is, instead of placing markers on the map, simply use your mouse and keyboard to set the camera view where you want the jump location to be, then in that menu there is a button you'd click that would say, "Set Jump Location" and have the ability to assign that view position to a hotkey and name it.
We could have 30 keyboard hotkeys for 30 jump locations.
Press:
Shift + 1-0 for the first ten,
Ctrl + 1-0 for another ten
Alt + 1-0 for the third set of ten
AI would still become an automatic jump location to jump to within that menu.
