Bryson Coaling Tower Eating My Coal

After leaving a 3-bay hopper full of coal at the coaling tower in Bryson, I went about the rest of the railroad. Came back after a day or two in-game, and all the coal was gone out of the hopper. I used the console to reload the hopper and watched the fill level decline without any loading of my locos.

Did you check the coaling tower?

I believe the tower itself holds about 150 tons of coal, so it needs 2 3-bay coal hoppers to supply it fully.

You need 3 hoppers to fill the tower. I have not the impression that there are any inhabitants, who collect the coal for private use (as in Germany 1946 - 1947)

It is in the coaling tower, which has a capacity of 149 tons. For Dillboro and Bryson I use 70 ton hoppers, not the smaller 40 ton hoppers.

That is probably a good Idea. When I bought the hopper I was nor aware of how much coal I have to traansport there. I have now ordered the third load.

Thank you all for your insights. I thought the same thing. In fact, I witnessed the tower contents reach its peak. But then with no further action on my part, the fill level continued to drop. It stopped dropping at 32t in the tower and the hopper car empty.

I do not have this effect. After 24 hours (game time) the hopper load has not changed. I filled the tower to 100% and did not make any coaling.

Once the tower at Bryson has it's full capacity of 150t in storage it will only take extra from the hopper when a loco takes coal. The tower will keep refilling to 150t when it is used until the hopper car is empty.

Thank you everyone for your input and for taking the time to run your own tests. I'm not sure what was going on. I restarted my machine, ran a clean install and tried again. All seems to be in order now. I've been unable to re-create the issue. Anyways, thanks again for everyone's effort.
