Sylva interchange capacity
I've multiple contracts running and a few milestones and on top of that allso an fuel delivery.
At 4am i got 40 cars spawned on the interchange and a message that it was at capacity.
I cleared the interchange and waited a few minutes but no second spawn of the remaining cars.
Then i changed the delivery time on the interchange to 5am and hoped for another delivery of the remaining 5 cars for a milestone project but with 5am passing nothing arrived.
Can this be fixed ?
There's more than enough track available before the 3 interchange sidings.

When your interchange is full, it will wait a few hours before giving you the next set of cars.

It depends on the interchange. One can take up to 40, another 60. It depends on how things spawn too.

I had now 3 days that spawn only around 43 cars at Sylva. one track was every time completely free. that is annoying
especial when you waiting for around 80 cars

Will the Class I still pick the cars up if I leave them between Interchange deliveries? ... or should I keep the Sylva Interchange track clear until the second Interchange delivery?
So clarification. Sylva has 3 tracks as the interchange, are we saying freight only appears on one of those 3 tracks? If one track is full, shouldn't the rest of the freight appear on the next track over? Or where all 3 tracks full in your case?

My question was regarding the drop off and pick up behavior between the first and second Class I deliveries, not how many tracks were full.
Your question is regarding the the track capacity. When the Class I makes its delivery, cars usually appear on the track closest to the river and the centre track, but I have had it the other way around.

So to second/piggyback on this question, why does the Sylva interchange only appear to supply cars to 2 out of the 3 tracks? At least for me, I've had three days where it's interchanged twice because it says it's at capacity with 40 cars, when it can clearly hold 60 (having delivered nearly 60 to it before on one night). At first I thought it might be due to coal hoppers upsetting the car positioning, however I've now had a night where it does not supply more than two tracks of cars for seemingly no reason. Is this solely so one track is free to get a locomotive past? or is there some other reason?

So the C1 delivers two cut of cars, so they can run past and depart on the mainline. Same for the allowance of the player to be able to run past the cuts and get to the backside without issue.

This makes perfect sense but still i was kind of disappointed when i changed my main base of operation from whittier to sylva. i hoped for more capacity on the interchange :(

And i know this might be realistic but when you are running your railroad by yourself and you get 2 deliveries for your interchange and both contain cars for most of the stops along the line(i am currently going from alarka depot to sylva, mostly T5 with some T3) its A LOT of work for one person alone. It would be nice to have an option for the interchange to have all cars delivered per location in one delivery. e.g.: robinson coal only gets delivered in the first delivery when the interchange is able to accept ALL cars for robinson this day, to prevent having them deliver 15 cars in the first and like 4 in the second delivery.

One "workaround" is to take the first set of cars over to the Dillsboro yard (if you have it). Then wait for the second set of cars and drag those over to Dillsboro and get them all sorted (blocked).

(If you don't have the Dillsboro yard, you can use the Paperboard and Tannery tracks do to some of that work.)

Thank you for the succinct reply! That makes alot more sense. Tbh gameplay wise it's quite nice as I can have a morning east bound train for outbound wagons that then makes the second west bound train of inbound wagons.
