Whats the Caboose for?
Title....

Being in the caboose also served to keep an eye on the train ahead to make sure everything was going ok as it traveled down the tracks. Other than that, the caboose was used by the crew to eat and sleep when on long hauls.

Pretty much all you can use it for in the game is being a conductor for rear train operations if you have the AI doing all the driving.

From what I have heard, nothing, except looking cool.
Sadly they do not have the "Best caboose" that existed in Stormworks though.

It's handy as an end of train marker but right now that's really about it.

Maybe so but it serves nothing here except being an extra switching puzzle
No practical purpose in single player. Useful if you do full-crew ops in multiplayer, as it can carry your crew.

Unfortunately this doesn't work for me, my engineer will not stay on the train, he keeps jumping off when I am doing other things
I'm a kid of the 80's and remember the last days of cabooses on ends of trains and the switch to those dumb blinking red light devices on the tail end of a trains. Sad, no character and less jobs for humans like everything these days.
