Primarily developer ergonomics, which is of course a matter of taste. Great games can be made in both engines.

As for update info, I'd expect update announcements to be posted here on Steam and the Discord, but for now because of the phase of development, Discord is the place to find them (screenshots, mostly). We've tested with as many as 9 players, but I suspect it can handle many more.

No! It works like a real world railroad does their business. You pick and get contracts with customers, move their cars and deliver them.
