Uncrashed : FPV Drone Simulator

Uncrashed : FPV Drone Simulator

This or Liftoff for someone who owns DJI Avata 2
I'm looking for something to practice flying my Avata 2 in manual mode. I believe both of these sims work with the FPV controller 3, but do either of these allow me to set up a drone to fly just like an Avata 2?

Uncrashed is pretty awesome. However, with any sim, you'll have to play with the settings to get it to feel correct for what you're flying in real life. With Liftoff, Velocidrone, or Uncrashed you can get pretty close to a "realistic" feeling flying experience. Nothing on a computer is going to feel exactly 1:1 though.

I own all three of those sims I mentioned, and I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. Velocidrone is my absolute favorite because it feels the best to fly in and is incredibly easy to run. Uncrashed I just got last week, but so far I think it's moved up to my second favorite sim. It definitely looks the best. Out of the box you'll have to adjust things to get it to feel correct. A couple of the maps performance is noticeably much worse then the others as well. I think it's the Urban Bando that for whatever reason runs very poorly for me, while I have no real issue with the other maps.

Do you fly anything besides the Avata 2?

Yeah I've just decided I'm just going to end up buying all the sims lol. Right now I've been playing Liftoff, Tryp (love this one), and DRL. Found some settings to configure a drone in Tryp to fly like an Avata 1, which I've read is fairly similar to the Avata 2.

Right now I am only flying the Avata 2. It's my first FPV drone. Now I'm looking into building a 6s FPV drone.

I'd recommend considering going the 3" - 3.5" route for freestyle. Not only can that easily be built under 250 grams, but it's quieter, safer, and cheaper. The other bonus is that you don't feel like you're bothering anyone when flying.

If you have a lot of space, or don't have any anxiety about bothering people, then I'm sure a 5" is the absolute best. However, these smaller quads are getting really good. Let's Fly RC from Rotor Riot just released a 3.5", the TanQ S, and I'm probably going to buy that, or build something very similar in the near future.

I do actually have a ton of space. I live literally on the edge of my city and it's all unincorporated farmland behind me, and I live close to lots of nice nature to fly around. I was thinking a 5" would be better for flight time, but a 3.5" might be more fun and gives me options to fly in places I wouldn't want to fly a bigger drone. Honestly I'll probably build or buy both sizes.

Looks like the TanQ S and all the parts are out of stock 😅. I will keep an eye on this and try to get one.

That TanQ S sold out in like two days!

If you're going to build it yourself, then you have a ton of options. I was just throwing it out there that a 3" quad is a lot of fun and a lot less stressful in my opinion. Especially if you're newer to flying freestyle. If you got the space though then a 5" is probably the way to go.

Doesn't hurt to have a few different drones for different things.

Hey! Based on yr kindda recommendation I'm gonna buy Tryp for my FVP practice sessions! I'm about to pick up my Avata 2 this afternoon. Was wondering if you could fill me in on which drone / settings you tweeked in game to get something that 'feels like' the Avata 2.

Thx!

@Stevegubbins, @Spacecraft, I'm in the exact same situation. I'm going to buy an Avata 2, but first, I want to get a simulator to practice (it's my first FPV too!). I've heard that all the mentioned sims are pretty good, but I wonder if any of them allow me to select an Avata 2.
Otherwise, I believe these sims give you the option to "build your own drone," so maybe you could suggest the specs to create one similar to the Avata 2?
have all fpv game
The best is Velocidrone
If I want number 2 go to liftoff
