Drag Racing Games
So, I'm sure a few of you may have noticed. But we now have a couple different developers working on new Drag Racing games/sims. So hopefully here in the not so distant future we get a legit Sim or something more akin to Burnout, from way way back, just modernized.

I am not affiliated with any of these games. I'm just a drag racing fan that has been waiting many many years for a good drag sim.

One of the games is called, HoleShot Drag Racing
(looks like it has a ton of potential)

Another one called, Bounty: Drag Racing
(this one has active playtesting and seems to have a ton of potential as well)

Edit: Both are here on Steam
Here's to hoping something good comes our way before long!

Agreed! Good on ya for posting this here. Hopefully someday we can have another PCE. Those were the days!
I have already gotten the Alpha of Bounty Drag Racing, and have my eye on HoleShot.

Ive suggested on the Iracing forum that they should add it. Maybe not to the current sim but at least under the Iracing banner. I think there would be alot of interest in it.

Possibly now. But I do know that quite a few years back myself and a few others tried talking to iRacing about adding Drag to the game but they didn't seem to want to have any part in it. Definitely doesn't hurt to ask though, Thanks for that.
That being said. Bounty: Drag Racing seems to be coming along nicely. If anyone reading this gets the chance they should check it out. The Dev just added multiplayer and you can pretty much add and use any wheel setup with the custom config. Just remember, it's in Alpha Testing phase. So if you start testing make sure to give him feedback, as he is active in the community here on Steam.

Good stuff! Maybe I'll see you in some Multiplayer here pretty soon.

I love EV3 Drag Racing. Very authentic with still at least 35 active multiplayer racers. It's here on Steam, free to play but I recommend to put the initial $3.99 to get extra cash to get you started. It is so far the most realistic Drag Racing game even if not new.

Make sure you play on PC and have a controller, idealy a joystick with the thrust set as the throttle. PS or Xbox controllers do the job also. Don't use the default mouse and keyboard

I left EV3 off the list because it's a cash grab gotcha game. It's a mobile port. You can buy boosts in game that allow you to beat anyone not actively spending money on the game. I'm not trying to talk trash, just saying that I was listing games that had more of a PC simulation type feel like the oldschool drag racing games.
If we're talking mobile apps, No Limit Drag Racing 2 would be top of that list in my opinion. Just download Bluestacks and play on your PC.

Thanks for the suggestion I will look for No Limit Drag Racing 2. As for EV3 I never played mobile. On PC it feels like a very realistic game where every details of rpm launch and shifts count to grab each hundreds of a second.

For the boosts, which is the pro tune, it is mandatory to compete and win multiplayer ELO challenges. The good news is that finishing top 3, even top 10, for each car you own, gives you coins without having to buy them.

As for now I'm able to keep up with only coins won, spent wisely. Worst case a $20 refill can get you really far if you manage to be a good racer. Not bad for a free game to invest a few bucks once or twice.

In signleplayer, no coins (pro tunes) are needed to beat the CPU and win cash to buy all the cars and have fun on the strip, that would be completely free

Until one of these come out... thank goodness for PCSX2 and NHRA Countdown to the Championship... it even works with steering wheels (including force feedback).

Wow I remember burnout. There needs to be one showing old school racing and wheel standers older funny cars and super stocks gasers jet cars.

I tried Bounty and it was absolute crap. NHRA has a high learning curve and little to no instruction but now that I've got a few hrs in it,it's quite good. There are issues but no deal breakers.
