Scanning the hammer in "Who Killed Casey Carmel" does not work

When investigating the murder in Old Detroit, in the gas station you look at the mattress and need to find three clues.

The first two work fine, but scanning the hammer just goes to 100% and then does nothing. This basically soft locks the game as you can't do anything else and can't even exit the area without having found all three clues.

Update: Reloaded (luckily there was a checkpoint just ahead of this) and it worked.
