If Teyon continues like this, they will hit AAA big leagues in no time
This demo is seriously impressive. I loved Terminator Resistance, but Robocop is a fairly big step up in production quality already. I hope to god it sells a ton because Teyon has potential to become a great AAA studio. I will be anticipating anything they make with keen eye.

Btw, I played the demo on 5800X3D and 3080Ti, all maxed out in 2880x1620p (DLDSR) with DLSS quality and it ran great, no framedrops below 60. Looks awesome, plays well. Loved the immersion focused on "being Robocop". Teyon know their stuff.

In a way i dont want teyon to become AAA, sure they Will have More money but it comes at a cost. Inflated team sizes, More managers, probable delays, too much Focus on graphics, loss of innovation, playing it too safe so they can get as much money as possible to get money back because The budget was so big, and worst of all, horrible microtransactions.

The world needs More AA studios with passioable people behind them.

The demo was satisfying to the point that it convinced me to pre-order, which I rarely do anymore. Really can't recall last time a demo was this engaging. I was amazed how authentic everything felt.

Some good points here. But I believe it is still possible to do AAA level work without all the nonsense. Some studios are capable of it and hopefully Teyon could too.

All they need is a facial animation dedicated expert.
Both this game and Terminator Resistance almost have the look of an AAA game.. it falls apart on the face department. Just hire one guy who can work fulltime on those facial animations.

Robocop in particular.. NPCs are dead in the eyes. Their eyes just don't animate enough.. don't look or focus on anything.. their head moves and their eyes are dead instead of locking on something.

No AAA please.
Don't destroy the talent with corporate bs.

Not sure about aaa but they are obviously learning from their earier games and it's good to see, a lot of devs seem to be downgrading while paying millions more to develop a game aka going annual releases instead of making the game special and long lasting.

That's true, and then when they become AAA, they get all will get all their funding from ESG (China company that funds nearly all publishers and developers) Their games will suck, ESG will then demand all this woke crap (which is illegal in China go figure) and then they will die. Say no to AAA companies.

ESG is not a company, it is a BS WESTERN initiative.

You are probably talking about Tencent. Which owns or co-owns many companies, but usually as minority partner does not influence their behavior. They are acting dumb all on their own.

"Woke crap" is pushed mainly by brainwashed westerners.

There are plenty of good AAA companies still. No reason to think Teyon would go dumb/greedy just because they would have bigger budget.

AAA usually leads to being bought by a Publisher and loosing your own IP rights to them for Games they publish for you. The last victim of such actions was Hairbrained Schemes who got gutted by Paradox and thrown out of it's contract for not delivering a new quality IP to them. Paradox didn't wanted to have any Microsoft licensed games like Shadowrun or Battletech from them because of the shared revenue.
When they got booted, they lost their IP rights for Battletech 2018 to Paradox.

Trust me, you don't want to get too much attention from any smug faced Publisher around.

Hmm I think it depends on how well this game does and how much effort they put into keeping people playing, is it a release and maybe a patch or 2 or will there be future story and cosmetics or added weapons to justify keep playing and supporting it?

They did fairly well with terminator though they got lazy with xbox and never gave them the dlc which is why I never bought it why sell a game for a platform you will never support it left a sour taste for the xbox users they basically got ripped off, only pc and sony got the game which is why I got a new computer for this game among other reasons, xbox just doesn't seem to be the best for gaming these days.

1) it is a singleplayer game, the goal is not to "keep people playing", it is not live service BS, the goal is simply to get people to buy the game and play it, once is enough

2) The DLC for xbox is coming out in 6 days on october 27

As someone who works in the corporate world.

The push is coming from the "industry" itself. All C-level executives are basically reading the same articles, following the same people, and hanging out in the same places. ESG ideas are planted there by various organizations like World Economic Forum - it's done.

CEOs just feel that it's a thing that everyone is doing. They don't the time to even consider or understand it - they just ask to implement it because other CEOs are doing this so it cannot be a wrong thing, can it?

We are going through this process in my organization, 0 metrics, just policies on top of policies. And by the way, it's a communist idea that is being paid and pushed by all anti-western nations like china or russia. E.g., they are directly financing organization that can influence and promote ESG, but they don't use those ESG initiatives by themselves.

Oh I completely agree it is in large part self-inflicted, my company (multinational, with HQ in japan) is doing the same stupidity at the moment
