I did throw that out the window with my first reply, but I realized where I was and that I probably wasn't going to get what I was hoping for, and decided to be a clown instead. Go ahead and call it cope, but I promise I wouldn't be here if I wasn't enjoying it.
you did this to yourself.
I admitted that in my reply.
I don't know what some people were expecting or what they think Robocop is, but this Robocop game is good.
I can only assume that all these people complaining are the type of people who watched movies like Robocop and Terminator and The Matrix and the only thing they got out of it was "the guns and the fighting and the explosions were really cool".
This Robocop game is pretty good so far. Especially when measured fairly as a scrappy AA project.
Knowing that it's not AAA, and considering that it's a demo, the lack of polish is forgivable.
My biggest issue with the game is that I feel like it would be a lot more fun as a game if more focus had gone into making the combat feel like you're playing Robocop instead of a juggernaut that walks around picking up guns and ammo off the floor for the amount of praise it's gotten for feeling authentic. It kind of just feels like a generic FPS to me as it is, which isn't BAD, but I also don't think is as good as so many people seem to think it is.
All things considered, it's fine, but I would still hesitate to call it good outside of the writing. I do not understand the hype, other than nostalgia.
You disingenuous, dense MFer. When I pointed out the smaller bugdet of the game as a genuine response to your complaint, you started farting out nonsense. Discussion, my ass.
I'm more than happy to waste my time here if you are.
The mechanics are fairly simple by modern standards; but it gets the immersion totally right. The weapons look and sound right. The enemy and world design are right.
If you are ho-hum on these franchises, you'll probably find these game ho-hum.
It's similar to how Alien Isolation made you feel like you were in the first or second Alien(s) movies.
