Not having hardware RT / lumen + ray reconstruction is a huge miss.
Honestly, this game looks pretty good but it is kind of ruined by the ridiculous amount of boiling that happens with software lumen. If this game implemented hardware lumen and ray reconstruction it would probably look so much better and not run much worse for those of us on RTX 4000 cards. I get that this is a smaller studio AA game but it just seems so obvious to support those things as they literally built into the engine for devs to use.

Anyways, I am enjoying the game and just wanted to lament not being able to fully utilise the excellent RT hardware my 4090 on this game.

lower your res and change it back later go to 1300 700 the right one for your display and you have no issues and try later to change back and play

I think this game is one of the best examples of UE5 currently on the market which is a nice compliment considering it’s a small studio passion project. Even Digital Foundry is highly praising of the graphics. While I have a 4090 I don’t expect the bleeding edge to be budgeted for every aspect of ray tracing such as global illumination with ray reconstruction. I think I’m fortunate to be able to run this game without DLSS on 4k max. If it had ray reconstruction I’d have to be using DLSS so there’s still some benefit of running at native resolution and settings for your 4090 without having to compromise if you think about it.
