Edit: It's sometimes even worse during daylight.
And the default skin is way too silver, which also not accurate to the first movie which had quite a bit of purple and blue pearl style painting.
I've never seen purple and blue of any style on Robo's armor in the first movie. Maybe some dark scene with lots of light reflections.

Especially behind his head, it's very purple.
it still had some blue it was more visible in the right lights some sort of over cote paint job I don't know the specks just being ott about it

I see the iridescent you're talking about now, though the blue looks to just be lighting effects.
