Confused about Auto9
Shouldnt the auto 9 when in target mode, pick up the enemy then automatically aim then we press fire? What is the point of targeting the enemy then ? Just so we know where it is?

yeah i was kinda surprised by this and it's not like enemies stay locked on you gotta manually aim for them.

I thought the Auto 9 needed the "grid" to find and lock on enemies. Then fire and take them out, like the movie.

I don't think Robocop had an auto-targeting gun in the movies. Pretty sure he still had to aim. The grid was just for identifying things and calculating shots.

as far as i remember it was just a targeting system to identify threats, not an autoaim tool

Not necessarily the case. You sometimes see him do “fancy shots”, like shooting the targets while not looking at them, and that should be a enough indicator that once his targeting system locks on to the targets, he can’t miss and does not have to look at the targets when firing the Auto-9.

A missed opportunity for Teyon to implement in the game. Would be amazing to see Robo do fancy shots in third person done like a cinematic cut scene Max Payne 3 style.
Maybe the budget was not enough to implement this though.
Here’s hoping for them adding this in either a DLC, or in a sequel if they decide to do it.

What about the scene where he cant target the baby food until Lewis helps him? If it just targets but does not help aim why that scene?

”My targeting system is a little messed up”. It was not locking anymore after he almost got shot down (again) by the police.

Exactly what I thought too. The grid located the enemies. He fired once behind his back, remember? Could be an upgrade to use once in a while, not all the time.

The grid is simply Robocop's targeting system. It's the computer identifying things and calculating shots.

That said, it'd be a boring ass FPS if you spent the entire game having the computer shoot for you, and you don't have enough of the elements here to make an action RPG like Fallout 3.

The precise targeting is in effect, too me, the slow motion skill.

The fancy shot feature would only be available when a meter is full. That would work and not make it available all the time to be OP.

the grid is some kind of overlay, robocop surely has a computer aim system but he shoots wherever he wants .. He can shoot in the nuts if he want to :P
{SVK}Puškin Nov 18, 2023 @ 3:04am
That would be too easy.
REhorror Nov 18, 2023 @ 3:05am
Yep, it would make the game too easy.
Hell, the auto9 already has infinite ammo.
{SVK}Puškin Nov 18, 2023 @ 3:06am
Right.
Sakishiro Nov 18, 2023 @ 6:18am
Too easy if the game is as it is now, sure. But there are many ways to increase the difficulty and have the fancy shot feature in without it being OP.
