ED209 Not Breaking Through Gate

I've just done the first ED209 bit in the Steel Mill. I was wondering around for ages wondering what on earth I supposed to do next.

Googled for some videos and discovered that ED209 is supposed to break through the next gate but it's just stood there doing nothing ... like this level is bugged ...

????

Anyone else seen this happen? Is there anything I can do?

That's it, my playthrough is bugged and I can't progress at all ...

try reloading a previous save, until it works as intended.

I had this happen to me. Look at the radar at the top and see if there are still any red markers. If there are, pick up a gas cylinder and get in front of where the marker appears ahead of you then walk towards it until it passes under you, now walk backwards a few paces and chuck the cylinder at that spot. The goons have a habit of dropping through the game and preventing progress, the ED-209 doesn't do anything, it just stands there waiting...

This happened to me too. I think what happened is I shot him too much accidentally while trying to use him for cover. After he stops, if you shoot him, he'll shoot back, but it doesn't do any damage....yet. Only option is to reload to checkpoint though.

Yep. Shoot ED-209, and he'll never break that gate for you.
