Most of 2ndary weapons are scrap.

That's both wrong and a bit dramatic. The main weapon of Robo is his auto-9 which can be upgraded during play. The secondary weapons are supposed to be used like power-ups in old school games. When you find a cool one, have fun using it up and then go back to your main weapon. They are designed to be temporary bonuses.

Well, there are 3 really good ones. Plus OCP shotgun from the DLC helps early on. But the rest...

I would like to have a gun like in the third movie. Which RoboCop attaches instead of an arm.

I like to keep the SMG as a secondary gun.

Perhaps this problem could be solved if the secondary weapon had different ammunition: incendiary, hollow point, etc. That is, those that the police do not use.

Cops (in the US at least) aren't bound by Geneva conventions and absolutely use hollow point ammo. Stops a target more effectively and cuts down on over penetration. You don't want your FMJ to go through the guy you're shooting and hitting grandma on the other side of the drywall. :)

Auto9 doesn't have a scope, which can come in handy - and in the early game full auto capability is nice and rifles generally deal more damage. By the end it's really only worth picking up the Cobra (all one of them) or a rocket. At that point my pistol is an 80 round, full auto beast that can head-shot a target behind cover at 100 yards. It's a nice power fantasy, if it were at all like that IRL the police and military would all be carrying Beretta 93Rs with big dumb muzzle weights! :-P

Just keep the grenade launcher close when it comes beating ED209´s a s s. For everything else, Auto9 does the job.
