Considering how much of a pain in the arse the suit was to wear it's quite possible that Weller was having some sort of breakdown after a long day of filming and his brain has repressed the whole episode.

The documentaries on the making of Robocop are utterly insane! Peter Weller deserved an Oscar simply for not keeling over halfway through filming. Or at the VERY least a marathon medal!

He was entertaining a LOT of women in his trailer during filming. I think perhaps being the star of the picture went to his head a bit.
