Save files no longer accessible after a System crash
As title describes, My PC crashed while playing Robocop and now steam refuses to read/find the save games, even tho the folders and files are still actually stored on the PC.

I've double checked my User\Appdata\local\RoboCop\Saved folder and it contains the save and config files, as well as a folder with the crash log too, Does anyone know of a way to force the game to read these files again? Cloud save doesn't seem to be doing anything.. I'd really prefer not to have to start over mid game if i could avoid it.

same problem here... got all my saves but game can't see it
i have found a workaround. launch a new game then as soon as you have a new save close the game. go to your Appdata folder and rename your old save with the name of the brand new one. Relaunch the game and load your fake new save :)

But how? It is not working for me.

I have only the "SaveIndex.sav" files as old save files. If I rename that one to the brand new name, what is called "01 - Channel 9 Headquarters.sav", the game will not load this renamed file at all. :(

I had exactly the same problem and solved it. Open: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\RoboCop\Saved\SaveGames

Save the content completely to another directory. Then delete the content from the above path. Start a new game until the first save point. Then go to the backup of your old save games and copy the latest file Autosave.sav (e.g. Autosave77.sav). Rename it to Autosafe1.sav and overwrite the newly created Autosave1.sav.

If you now start Robocop and click on "Next", you will have your old save game again.

Thanks for the help mate.
It is still not working for me, and it seems my problem is that my AutosaveXX.sav files are lost, they were not in the cloud..
I only have the SaveIndex.sav files, and those are not enough, the above neat trick is not working.

This is such a shame that I could not finish this great game because of this.

Had lots of hope this would work. Game recognizes the entry after switching/renaming my old save file, then when loading I get a black screen with HUD. Seems me playthrough is gone.

I feel your pain. I am pretty sure I was just about to start the last or one of the last missions of the game when I decided to do a fresh install of Windows 11 (upgrading from 10) and didn't think about my saved games at all because I have not had to think about them for at least 15 years or more due to steam cloud. When I loaded it back up I have the exact same problem. Steam cloud saved the SaveIndex.sav and the backup of it but none of my saved games... There is absolutely no way I am playing the whole game over again and I am pretty miffed that I paid for this game and got stiffed so hard that I'll likely never finish it.

This sucks.

If anyone has a saved game file I could grab at the very beginning of the mission where you go back to the hospital to save your partner after the prison mission I would be super duper thankful.
