Crashing issues

I had a problem with the game crashing with some odd error code at the point where Robocob confronts Alex Murphy in the aether and at the end of the dialogue has to shoot him. I updated to the latest nvidia drivers and this changed the problem from a crash to the desktop with the error code to a simple freeze in the black that prevented control alt delete from bringing up the task manager.

Each of these crash situations I replicated exactly 6 times per.

Very frustrating.

As I was about at the end of my admittedly very, very short rope of patience I had one more idea, which I tried. I went to the game executable and set it to run under compatibility mode for Windows 8.

Much to my surprise, this worked, and the game did not crash or freeze in the aether but ran normally and I landed back at the police station with full control of my main man and no crash.

I do not possess sufficient compsci expertise to posit a hypothesis as to why this occurred or why this solution worked, so I shall not make an attempt at such.

I simply want to share this in the hope that it will help others who have had the same or similar problem(s).

I'm a huge fan of 80s sci-fi / action movies / dystopian future (or from our present perspective, perhaps alt-universe retro futuristic) films. This developer is one to watch - they did an absolutely great job with Terminator (this is the Terminator game I always hoped somebody would make). With Robocop, they hit a full fledged grand slam.

I also have this issue. Crashes every time after the cutscene is supposed to end.

Mine freezes after about 20-40 mins of play.

My game just does not start. Visual c++ runtime 2022 needed. I have it installed but it does not start...I just bought the game today

Having the same issue.

EDIT: After looking online through a couple other forums I found an answer! Run the .exe in compatibility mode with windows 8. Worked for me.

have the same issue. game ran fine for like the first 7 hours, but its crashing quite frequently now.... :( please do some patches
for each case once i turned off dlss it worked fine.

Figured out a workaround for this crash...

I lowered all my Graphics Settings in the Menu to Low & somehow that got me through this segment. Raised everything up again once I regained control of Robocop & haven't had an issue since. Hope this helps.

go win setting / updates / advanced settings / allow other apps then win to update

Installed all versions. Still doesn't work. Still getting the error message. What now? Do I have to ask for a refund?...
