Shooting Range with Officer Washington

I'm trying to complete this side quest, but every time I activate the range I can't shoot nor reload the gun. I obviously fail the min. of 15 targets. I've reloaded the game from the last checkpoint twice (from the start of when you come back from the Vultures' quest and after I help the Briggs side quest with the Archivist, or whatever he is) and it doesn't work.

I've tried googling and searching here for some talking about this, but it seems I'm the only one with this issue?

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

This is the 2nd game-breaking bug I encounter in just 5h of gameplay and it's really disappointing...I feel a bit cheated coming from the great Terminator Resistance :(

Do you immediately reload your save once the shooting range starts and you can't shoot? You're actually not supposed to reach even those measly 15 points, because his gun is broken.

I assume OP means the first bit, where you do the range with your own gun first.

I assume OP means the first bit, where you do the range with your own gun first.

No. I let it fail and then nothing happens. I can only restart the range (which I did on my 2nd attempt) or just leave that side quest.

I actually didn't know about Washington's gun xD

Yeah I've no idea how you can fix this then, other than trying to reload older saves or wait for a patch. :(

That really sucks...it really stifles my drive to keep playing this game. I was so looking forward to it for so long as well. What a shame.

The bug got fixed. I only had to reload from 08 Metro West save, which is after the Vultures' place raid

The one where they gave him a defect gun? I think you're supposed to fail that.

lol, I had a bug where my chips got messed up and I ended up using a full auto-shotty Auto 9 and I got over 500 points. It was hilariously awesome.

It's that sidequest, but OP was stuck on the bit before, where you use your own gun to show Washington how it's done. It wouldn't let OP shoot during that bit.

I had the auto loader chip activated when I had issues shooting, I took out the chip connecting it and was able to shoot my gun for the quest
