Despite never showing support for...
Mills as mayor, he still ends up becoming mayor.

Despite both parties asking for my endorsement, the one I support loses because the public had no trust for me?

I'm confused, did me giving tickets to every possible violator result in the public hating me?
But that doesn't get balanced out by the amount of lives I've saved?

Mills: "do it for robocop's human rights, and new-detroit"

The Public: "Oh yea sure sounds great."

Robocop: "Vote for Kuzak."

The Public: "Screw that, you ticketed homeless people who were violating public property, despite the countless gang member you took down in the name of justice, you and Kuzak can go die in a hole."

Stepping in the car for the first meeting with him, probably is the reason why he wins.
the game treats it as you supporting him.

Nope, I got in the car with Mills and the game counted a couple of other things as supporting him (but I thought were neutral), but Kuzak still won.

Kuzak doesn't even do anything for you, while mills would support you as being human and deserving of rights....seems better deal for robocop plus ocp is the only reason he exist and continues to be repaired yes?

I think just speaking to the candidates shows support for them, even if you tell them you will not endorse them. I have seen a couple times that it said I showed them support, when I told them that I did not involve myself in politics. I always told everyone that I would not choose sides, then during an interview just before the election, I stated again that I do not choose sides, and it said I withdrew my endorsement for Kuzak, and then he was the one elected in my game.

I do not matter, the Detroit Police Force does, Kuzak promised to better serve the police.

Never met him, and openly declared support for Kuzak

It was my own reputation that hurts the candidate chance for victory (paraphrasing what the game told me).

Just trying to figure out what went wrong with my rep.

I did pretty much every side mission, apart from one side mission with the courthouse.
Apparently there were armed robbers at it.

Yes. It might make no sense to you, but giving tickets tells you "you upheld the law", while the opposite tells you "served the public trust". So yeah, no ♥♥♥♥ you don't have enough public trust in the end. The only time I can remember where you serve the public trust by giving a ticket is when some douche knocks over a hobo's cart.

Parking in front of fire hydrants.
Cleaning yourself in a public water fountain.
Leaking oil on the street.
Smoking near a gas station.

These are all things degenerates do.
Any upstanding citizen would know this.

Right, but those that give you no choice don't count.

Ok, so I've played through twice now and first time I fully supported Mills while ticketing every violator of the law and doing all side missions. Turned out Kuzak won the mayor race so I thought "ok I was kind of ♥♥♥♥ with ticketing everyone." Second time I gave out all warnings to violators that I had dialogue with and only ticketed the parking violations and threw all my support behind Kuzak and I mean I was not bashful about slandering ocp but in the end Mills won. In both play throughs whomever I supported lost and I was pretty transparent to both candidate who I supported. The only things that I did the same in both play throughs was I talked to both candidates every chance there was and I did all side missions, ticketed traffic violators and I was never apolitical people knew where I stood. So idk if the games cause and effect is glitched or if in the end you're suppose too just shrug off the politics and see who comes out in the end.

Kuzak is what's failing Detroit. I went right choice (Mills) and game chose opposite.

I've seen it too, just entering cutscenes it'll say I showed support somehow.. it seems never talking to either of them is the better way to go?

Mills leaves the city and calls it a sh*thole

Yeah, twice now I've gotten Mills. I tried for Kuzak the second time but still got Mills. I guess I didn't serve the public trust well enough or something.

Mills is for cyborg rights but hates Old Detroit. Kuzak is for Old Detroit but is kinda sketchy.

Same here, i do everything (IMO) direct and indirectly for support Kuzak and then Mills win?? I think it's a bug or just a wrong design, because this is no sense... but i am very disappointed.
