If they tighten that up, I'll be 100% pleased.
I was getting this game from when I first seen it advertised, all the little Nostalgia flakes in it add to the fun.
When Murph drives out of the precinct iconic scrape and sparks.
The Cut scene vehicle exit that turn and camera Robo does.
The Voice Acting is not the issue, it's the mixing and missing ambience, There's also some sound inconsistency which you'd expect something to sound like if you were in that area etc, Light draw distance on Epic is not so great and Texture Pop in during cut scenes is strange.
When Reed is standing near the whiteboard things and the camera is adjusted the sticky tape disappears and other items appear.
When walking through some places on all maps you will get a wandering vert out of no where in a specific spot, This happened on Terminator Resistance also in some parts of maps. Some part of a prop model will spaz out and stretch along a plane it's like the rest of the object remains static and that Vert is the only part taking physical action.
Some of the Anim is botched during some cut scenes characters will be facing a random direction away from Murph etc.
Fire Extinguishers placement rotation is broken in places.
Other items are duplicated ontop of each other, 2 cars parked ontop of each other etc Chair on Chair..
Some odd things
Displaced voices to the NPC model
Displaced Sounds to the location.
Clipping of weapon fire on transparency etc.
It was the rather lengthy demo which only served to solidify my opinion that this was the game for me. The feel and mechanics of the game just feel so old skool, and I'm an old skool dude.
The game is 92% on Steam Aggregate which is a good sign. The best way to research the game is to start with Steam Aggregate and then read most helpful positive and negative reviews.
Indeed it feels like old Max Payne 1 but in the good way.
We need more AA games like this.
Nowadays AAA games are woke and boring.
There only there to sell you junk and push their own egos/ideology on you.
Thay are shills who overcompensate throw shallow vertu-signalling.
Don't waste your time with them they are irrelevant and obsolete.
It's even more satisfying than seeing NFL or FIFA games being the opposite.
People still enjoy games made with love, even if they are not 100% and lacking in some areas. There is hope. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over <3
Iim 100% getting this one.
