Is it just me or is the ingame walk instantly recognizable as incorrect. Peter Weller did an amazing job with his physical performance and I think the movement in the game looks really bad in comparison.

I want to know why I don't hear my waist move when moving the mouse :stawtf:
C'mon folks.. we are def not complaining about the gift Teyon gave us all Robo fans, in fact we may never get another Robo game in years, However we cannot deny and turn the blind eye that some things are off, and without getting into nit pick, yes I noticed the walk was off on the first mission when he entered the news building on fire.. and yes this is coming from someone who was 13 when the movie came out so imagine how many times I have seen this film. It is literally etched in memory.
you cant expect the movement to be exaclty as in the movie, that is dumb. Teyon had to find a balance between making it feel robotic and "slow" but at the same time not tedious.

It's "dumb" to expect RoboCop to move like RoboCop? Are you ok in there? Do you need help to understand how stupid that sounds?
Agreed, game should play like Mech Warrior with tank controls rather than traditional FPS controls.
The game wouldn't be all that fun if they tried to make the gameplay of walking accurate, and hell, he could run out of the way of Emil's van after all so he can move pretty quickly when he wants to, he just never wants to. But if you are talking about the cinematics, yeah those are off a bit, but not a big deal. I assume this is because it looks like none of the animations are motion-captured.
I completely agree.
He doesn't pivot from the waist when turning either and he is also missing the hydraulic sound fx when he's looking around.

The game is rough around the edges and a lot of people here are suffering with emperor's new clothes syndrome.
Just put 25 hours in and finished the game. Couldn't be bothered by the nitpicking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about walking animations, crouching or the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ auto 9 sound. Just play the damn thing. It's a double A adaptation of a dead IP. It's not getting any better than this.

In the early 8bit/16bit versions in the 80's he did. Aiming at one height can be restricting.

Not really. Its a minor change in the camera's position at best. Now if the game expected you to duck behind cover and the option wasn't there, then we'd have a problem.
