The Robocop walk...
Is it just me or is the ingame walk instantly recognizable as incorrect. Peter Weller did an amazing job with his physical performance and I think the movement in the game looks really bad in comparison.

I've watched the Robocop movies to death and the sound of the walking and his head turning are spot on. The only issue I've noticed is the sound of his Auto 9. That is definitely not the correct sound but this was due to cost of the license to obtain the rights to use the official sound effect, it simply costed far too much and this is a low budget game although I have to say its miles better than many AAA titles ive played
I understand your point, and had a similar kind of feeling from the demo. But it is not the walking, which is fine. More than fine really. Very Rrobocop.

It is the head (i.e. mouse) movement that is incorrect. Robocop's head movement should be somewhere between a tank turret and a generic FPS style it is now.

it's close enough.

It’s not perfect but it’s perfectly acceptable all things considered.

Wrong. In general, the sounds of his footsteps and when he turns his head and moves his limbs are not movie accurate at all. There are a very few scenes when the original sounds are in for the head turning though. It’s very easy to hear the difference between the original sounds and the altered ones. The footsteps sounds are really in need of modding. Same with the Auto-9.

He can't even crouch ffs.

Still better than that god awful PS2/Xbox game.

The sounds he makes in that are irritating.

He doesn’t need to. Have you even watched the first two movies? lol, kids 😆

Peter Weller didn't move RoboCop by itself. The double for the Robowalk was an original break dancer with a plastic suit.

Yes and he crouches ffs.

Ok for some reason I always thought he crouched down to the Little League kids in Robocop 2, that's not the case.

I'm now unsure if he ever does crouch, the only time I recall is when he's being attacked by Swat & Cops in Robocop 1.

Robocop can definitely kneel, I'm pretty sure I've seen him do that in the movies.

He can in other games.

He kneels down when speaking to the kids after turning off the waterpipe in R2, yes. But the thing is, he never needed to crouch when he was in combat. He does not need to take cover as he literally is a walking tank.

Haha, am I the only one doing that while role playing in the game. lol

I'm normally too busy shooting people in the d!ck to notice or care about how I walk.

It would be distractingly bad if I had to stop, turn 90 degrees in any direction (thus taking my eyes off the bad guys) and proceed to walk in that direction if I wanted to, say, avoid incoming enemy lmg fire.

I play on the hardest difficulty right out of the box btw.

You'll live, put a helmet on, it's more than close enough.

So, let me get this straight ... you buy a RoboCop game and then complain there isn't fluid movement?

Asking for a friend ...

Let me get this straight, you read my comment but didn't understand it?

Asking for myself, because you surely aren't that dumb.
