Forced to let prisoner go? Bug or intentional?
I saw someone post about this in the bug report section but idk if it's a bug or not. This appears to be a spot where you'd be asked a choice after intervening between a guard who's aiming his weapon at a prisoner and the prisoner with his hands up.

Robo just automatically tells the cop to let him go, there is no choice there. The prisoner runs off, taunting them with "see ya," and then winds up shooting a guard 2 seconds later. Has anyone else run into this where it has NOT played out the exact same way?

You lose XP from it too. At the assessment it says something about "cunning prisoner" and shows 0 XP instead of 150.

I think this might also happen in a slightly later part of the game when you're talking to the Mayor. Robo just has a convo with him, yet it said you showed him support even if you didn't.
Same with Mills when he talks to Robo in his limo during the second trip to downtown. I was surprised when I saw that, given that my responses were more or less neutral.

That's not a bug. Kuzak tells you that even being seen with Mills will be interpreted as support by the public. For neutrality, it would be best to ignore all interactions with the two candidates.

"Forced to let prisoner go" it's a bug. On my first playthrough i have "deduction 6" option to answer. now after two patches i replay this mission (with same stats) and have no this option.

You need Psychology level 5 then you get the choice

Where are you getting that from? I tried that with maxed out psychology, Robo- Murphy still tells the prison guard to let the guy go.

BS i had it almost if not maxed at the time i met this prisoner. Still no options but to let go.

Got the same bug, no options, Murphy just lets the dude go (max deduction, max psychology). Also can't find the Note on Wendell Antonowsky at all and i think that's a bug (probably the question marks not showing up as it's a secret) as well because i've pretty much licked every single corner of that level.

You call it a bug.
Devs probably will call it a script, a feature , or an oversight :D

This is incorrect as someone already had psychology and deduction maxed but no option. The psychology should just highlight favorable options

Cannot confirm, but from other complaints I've seen regarding this same sort of scenario, I think the bug is that these dialogue options only appear at exact stat values, so this guy might have needed exactly Psych 5 in order to trigger the Cunning Prisoner dialogue option - Psych 1-4 or 6-10 won't work. Will try to verify this when I encounter it by saving up stat points and dumping them at various values after checkpoints.

On this topic: in the bank, when you try to defuse the bomb, the speech check "Engineering 4" appears in dialogue even if you only have Engineering 3

I've tested it, it's a Deduction check, Psychology has nothing to do with it: Deduction 5 or anything above that successfully resolves the Cunning Prisoner dialogue.

no it does not .... as people above have already tested it. Deduction was maxed ... psychology was maxed no option was given to choose from

I think having maxed stats breaks the skill checks. As far as I can tell, the highest skill checks in the game are Engineering/Deduction 7 for the security guard in OCP HQ, Psychology 6 for Samantha Ortiz in the same location, and Psych/Engineering 6 for Agatha Crane in the third Downtown visit. But I tell you right now, if you have Deduction at exactly 5 you will solve the Cunning Prisoner subquest.
