Thoughts on game?
Reviews are kinda mixed from the major publishers and there are not a huge amount of steam reviews yet but seems very positive. From those that are playing the game, would you recommend?

I loved the Terminator games from the Dev, brought me back to my childhood. For this one, I grew up on Robocop but wouldn't call myself a fan so would appreciate input from the players. Combat seems good but what about the other parts of the game?

the game plays great. I am impressed by some of the details too that didnt HAVE to be there. That shows dev love :D

Is the gunplay good for the temp guns you can pickup? I saw on gameplay vids you could pick up perps guns, not sure if it is worth it or not but always nice to have a mix of things to blast with.

So far my starting pistol is my fav haha, U can upgrade it but i also like to pick up the big mounted guns that the NPCs use sometime, those are powerful/ Im not extremely far in the game yet though

I would definitely recommend. It's not perfect, but still highly enjoyable game. Solid 7 or 8. Which in my books is very good.

Love it so far but I am a huge fan of the movies (at least the first two). I can see a person just wanting a good single player FPS not liking the limited mobility of the character, how enemies react (more like 80s cannon fodder) and the general feel of the gameplay.

A lot of them are pretty fun to use, even more than the icon pistol of the main character. My only issue is with the assault rifles, I think for the most part they feel pretty weak.

If you love robocop this is the best game easily out of everything combined, though terminator vs robocop's is a close second for me.

You only need your default weapon it's the only one oddly you can even upgrade, thought you would be able to do that with the ocp shotgun but that thing is kinda useless in comparison to the other shotguns that have more boom in my opinion.

It's worth it if you got a computer that can run it well, the console versions were not well optomized game breaking crashes but the pc runs much better and aiming and shooting is way better.

Well, it´s fan service and you will find here a lot things from movies. If you just didn´t had enough of movie atmosphere and you are a fan - go for it.
But maybe after they iron few annoying bugs.
Otherwise, I recommend it.

I love it. That being said, most of the complaints I see (gameplay wise) are people who think the combat has issues. I'm not here for the combat, so it depends on what you want. If you like Human Revolution style investigation and some fun gunplay, it's probably good for you. If you want stealth and alternate paths through combat encounters or high difficulty combat / multiplayer / endless modes / new game+, then you might not like it.

The tone, the balance of respecting the IP while doing its own thing, and the side quests all really did it for me. If RoboCop making a call on a pay phone doesn't make you at least smile, then I don't know what to tell you.

And ppl probably won´t like that most of segments are slow paced (as Robocop himself) - if they don´t choose to just skip them (semi-open map)

i rewatched 2 last week, cause i didn't see it that often. and before tuesday i started watching 1 as director's cut. 3 i think i never watched, and have no desire to ever see it. no Weller, no RoboCop, easy as that.

Good point, the slow-paced DX:HR style side quests are pretty slow. I liked giving parking tickets and getting signatures from my co-workers for a card, but other people may not. Because even I think it's stretched just a hair too far at times.

I vividly remember that I ended with 2, also. RC3 is...well, it´s more like guilty pleasure and 2014 (I think) was...I don´t know, not bad. But I had blast watchint RC 1 and 2 !
So you are not missing much if you haven´t seen the latter 2
