My internet is pretty ♥♥♥♥ but it's not that bad.
Thanks
Good to know, thank you!
but it seems to be easier just to upload the whole thing...
That's your antivirus, has nothing to do with Steam.
You're not redownloading the whole game. Stole this comment from somebody else but stop complaining about things that don't exists.
so what you posted there says basically what i posted, right!? "The alternative is that instead of a small patch file to download, you will be forced to download large amounts of data, possibly the entire game, every time the developer updates the game." is basically what i was saying... "without the majority of the game getting redownloaded for no reason"
and thanks, i know what patches are and how they work, hence why i don't understand why they don't to it the "right" way...
in the 90s you only downloaded the file that was actually changed. and that is not like they patch these days. well, some do, but the majority goes the easy way. yeah, maybe not uploading the full game, but e.g. dying light 2 wants to patch atm, and wants almost 50 gb or so. i have 90 gb free and thanks to unpacking, that is still not enough. cyberprank's patch is basically the install size of the game. for that game and gog, i have a temp folder with 60 gb on a hdd, so it won't download, unpack, delete, and such on my ssd every single time.
