Keybinding issues

I rebound all my keys from the default WASD to ESDF (I know, weird, right) and I'm having a couple of issues, mainly with the "E" key. E seems to be soft-locked to interact despite my changing it. So if I pick something up and decide to move forward I drop it immediately. My biggest issue, however, seems to be game-breaking as I used a computer and not only is the interface hard-coded to WASD controls, when I quit out of it my E key doesn't work at all now. I even reset the keybindings to default and changed them back and it still doesn't work. Anyone else run into this problem and know how to fix it?
