9 hours long... really?

Mmm... i've seen there's a video on Youtube of a Playthough which seems to be the whole game.

The video is just 9,26 hours long.

I haven't watched the video, i don't want to spoil anything, so i don't know if the youtuber played side missions or whatever, but seems pretty short.

I know that Terminator Resistance was about that long, but it was also way cheaper than this game.

I don't know, little bit of dissapointment here. Hope it has actual replayability and several endings.

right!? i will also never understand those. i sometimes just admire what the designers built and created. i paid for it, so why rush through and run past all the details, eastereggs, and whatnot?
so far, everything i've played so far fits the franchise and doesn't feel forced or like a waste of time. not sure if that feeling persists, but so far, all fine.

uhm... Forspoken costs 80€and you get appr 8 hrs... besides the fact that Forspoken is not a good game, based on a new IP nobody got any relation to.

in times of 60 or 70€ as a price for a base game these days, the 50€ they ask for is definitely great. compared to many AAA games, i personally had no issues or game-breaking bugs (or bugs even) in this game. don't get me started with e.g. Starfield...

Yputubers are not trusty source of information like that,

They would cut out parts of the video where they fail. Start the game on hard difficulty, then edit out the part where they lower the difficulty or use cheatengine etc, before continuing their playthrough. All to look like a "hardcore gamer".

Sounds like the video is compressed for time. You know, long scenes sped up or cut out completely. Probably no side quests being done, and no environmental searches being done. The game is 20 to 30 hours long if you do it all in one go. That could easily be compressed to a 9.5 hour long youtube video with editing.

Also, lets not forget that dead space 2 was only 9 hours long, but took about 100 hours to actually play through and 100 percent.

It's 20+ hours, you probably watched some speedrun of main storyline and confused it with real length.

It's not true at all, it's 20-30 hours game with all side quests.

I'd be worried if it were 20 hours long, as that'd be a guarantee that there's length-padding in it, you know like fetch quests in open-world games.

there are lots of good games with more than 20 hrs and no artificial length to them... e.g. Guardians of the Galaxy.

I looked at the hours of the games ive completed once in my Steam library. The majority of them are 12 hours or less...
Im 6 hours into Rogue City and Im not even in the middle of the game yet.

Yeah starfield is not a game we should ever mention again lol. If I can get 20+ then yeah i will be on this for sure.

9 hours is perfect ! I got over 400 game titles i never finished. I play only 2- 3 hours because im older (43 ) and have dad responsibilties. Im glad this game so short.. if it was over 40 hours i would stop playing around 8 hours in and start playing other games that need to be finished ..( AC Valhalla started in 2022 still not finished. )

The game takes 9 hours if you rush through the main story. If you want to do side quests and explore it easily lasts double or more.

FPS action games are generally around that length. What did you think you were getting, starfield? Which imo is a slightly better than average game, but not even really great. Just a time sink.

Spider-man 2 is pretty short from what I keep hearing, and can be finished in 6 hours if you just do the story.

NO. I block unrespectful people, specially when innecesary. That's all.

I have a bunch of this kind of people in my daily job, so when talking about hobbies like videogames, i don't need to bear with this kind of behaviour.

If you complete the game at 100% (do all the quests, collect clues and secrets), then it will take longer. It also depends on the difficulty of the game. I'm playing at maximum difficulty and have played for 8 hours and it's still a long time to finish.

It will take much longer if you care to do all the side stuff in each level.
