If your PC appears to be working fine, but the visuals have frozen, or you've had a sudden black screen but the PC seems to be working otherwise, you might need to restart your graphics driver.
Step 1: Press Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B.
Step 2: Your screen(s) will flash black (if they aren't black already) as the driver refreshes.
If it worked, you should find your PC is working again. If this problem persists, you might want to consider reinstalling your graphics driver anyway.
This fixed my problem found it online
But i was getting this error also and the only two posts on it i could find had the EXACT same error as me (including the drive letter on the file)
On a hunch i moved the game from my F:\ drive to my D:\ drive and would you believe it.. the error went away !!
No idea why such a dumb bug is in the game but this solution worked for me. Good luck !
does that not disable dx12/RT?
Dear Echelon - I solved my problem permanently by raising LLC 1 value - despite being 24hrs stable in anything else. Since raising my Asus LLC from 4 to 5 robocop has been 100 stable and reliable - on the ultimate performance power plan.
Under the power saver plan it downclocks cores to about 2.5 ghz or some such - basically this shader compilation shows a bug if you will in voltage delivery to our CPUs during instant transitions.

TL;DR: if you want ultimate performance plan all times and for your cores not to dip (IF ASUS) raise LLC value 1 up (different manufacturers treat LLC differently, on some it has to be lowered cuz scales are inverse)
