I think you need to understand that we’re in a new generational cycle now as defined by the console market. We’re seeing AAA games that need 32GB or ram, 8GB is extremely low for modern gaming, even AA.
No, not weird in 2023 with UE5. You might be able to run it with 8GB but there'll be no optimisation done with 8 in mind. Think of it as a warning before people start complaining (which they will anyway because many people don't read the spec. properly and think their 2015 PC will run a 2023 game flawlessly).
I've had 16GB of ram in my system for over a decade it's not really a big reach to see games asking for that. I'd rather they said that then claim it runs on 4GB only to disappoint people who think that's a realistic target.
I'll be running this game on a pile of crap FX8370 so if anyone's going to suffer it will be me LOL
Sure will do, It's a kinda guilty pleasure of mine seeing what I can play through on this piece of crap. It's clocked to 4.7GHz so it's not too bad, just making the best of the limited kit I have
You should factor 4Gb - 8Gb just for an optimal functioning operating system alone.
16Gb for few memory related issues now and then contingent on what you do
32Gb for no memory related issues unless you somehow created a bottleneck during the build or configuring the OS.
It's nearly 2024, the bare minimum RAM should be 16Gb to help you see that 32Gb is a good starting point for PC gaming in allowing you the majority of configuration options. I put 32Gb into my last build maybe 2 years ago and haven't had a single crash no matter what I do. Can max out 99% of games on the 2080Ti.
BUT I HAVE A MONSTER PC AND IRUN ALL GAMES MAXED 1440P 6- FPS WHICH IS WHYI DONT WORRY!!
MINE MONSTER PC IS
RYZEN 7 1700
16 GB DDR4 3200MHZCL15
RX6700XT 12 GB RED DEVIL
MP 600 2TB WRITE:4950MB/S READ:4250MB/S
DELLP2416D 24'' 2560X1440 60 HZ IPS
I still wonder my 10100F 16 GB and GTX 1650 SUPER can handle the game. Also no info about FSR, XeSS support. Terminator later got FSR.
It’s crazy how many people are playing on Potatoes but it’s also cool that Steam has so many games that people can still find.
You only have 8 GB of RAM? LOL
