what happened to the demo?
i finally got finished downloading the demo, but there is no way to open it. it has a purchase button instead of a play button. It took me forever to download the damn thing. i really want to try it out.

it was removed as it was up for the next fest steam event

think you can still play it through the exe

it was a timed demo for steam next fest. it even went longer since they released it before steam next fest. most of the games that featured demos during the next fest removed their demos.
Its also stated in the blod post for the demo how long it will be / was live.

ugh... the folder where the game was supposed to be is completely empty. i guess i never got finished downloading it.

download says it completed, but it didn't. there are no files present. F@$%*ing-A.

No, a demo is to present a build of the game before release. However, developers stated they do NOT WANT players to think this is the final build, because it is so close to release. So they put the demo on Next (Even if it came out before next.) and pulled it once next ended. This way, they don't have to update the demo and people don't go in expecting day 1 issues because of the demo stuttering issue, for instance.

The devs claim the demo is not as good as the final build but....will it really be? How many demos claim to not define the end product when it turns out it pretty much did.

Not a bad thing for this one mind you I enjoyed the demo after the patch cleaned it up big time but they said it was an older build....how much is going to be goofy for the final product?

with how anal valve is on returning money from purchases, you would think they would be encouraging more demos to be released. but this does not appear to be the case. the days when just about every game had a demo version are long since past i guess.

If you go the folder and double click on robocop.exe, it works!

You can buy it and if U will not be satisfied so U can refund.

It is possible there will be another demo when the game releases.

But I did play this demo and trust me - it was awesome. I am confident the game will be great.
