tell me if it works dude

After I was about to post this I decided to roll back my driver to 545.92 GRD but didn't seem to make a difference. Must be just the game unfortunately. I've made sure to have everything set to High besides Textures set to Ultra and Motion blur Chromatic aberration off as well. Seems like setting Anisotropic Filtering to 16x like the above comment mentioned helped but it's still prominent... Edit: And np @Cyborg hopefully they can put a patch out to reduce this but I have a nagging feeling this may be a UE 5 thing? I hope not. Ghostwire tokyo had so many reflections and it wasn't as shimmery as this game so hoping it's fixable. Ghostwire Tokyo was UE4 as well so Idk.

Hey Ehyo, just been playing around with the settings and got more of the sparkle effect removed. In the AMD Adrenaline software turn on the Anisotropic Filtering, change it up to 16x. Then start up the game and in the settings change the upscaling from FSR to TAA, then turn down the resolution scale around 50 to 60. Should hopefully see a BIG difference when you move around the streets.
Hey Digital does this take away from the visuals at all?

I feel like it would since you're changing your resolution scale, idk why that's not necessary.

Use DLAA with Frame Generation OFF.

Looks just like a city street to me.

No, for me there was no take away from the visuals. I tried running resolution scale at full 100% on these settings and the frame rate dropped, just from walking around, wasn't in any combat moments. So i played around with it and around 55-65% on resolution scale gave a good balance of nice looking visuals (with a reduced amount of sparkle on the roads) and a good frame rate. The effect is still there, its not gone completely but its now at a level that it just looks like a wet road that has a small amount of shimmer/glitter effect when walking.

I've seen it too. So what, that's real. Ever walk down a lighted street after a rain?

And for the tools claiming Robo's graphics are dated? GET A 4000 SERIES card THEN say that BS!

It's the anti aliasing in the game. None of the options get rid of it completely but tsr seems to be the least weird in my experience
Go to TAA. This is a DLSS and DLAA issue.
The game also takes a very long time to load the floor (ground) textures, taking into account the M2 SSD. But this is Nacon. All their games are crooked... let's say Hunter Simulator or Werewolf (despite the fact that they were both released on PS5)

I wonder if we're talking about the same thing but soon once I get on the game I will show you what I mean but in certain places it looks worse than others. I have an RTX 3060 running in 4k and I've set everything onto Epic and still see these shimmers noticeably on the road pavement especially. Looks nothing like "a lighted street after a rain" kind of... Now you definitely don't need a 4000 series card to run this either. The frame gen is helpful sure, it adds some input latency I've heard but whatever. You're almost phrasing it like people need a brand new shiny GPU just to play this game lmao. I'm fine with my 3060 for another year at the very least. Maybe you are referring to like 1660 owners or something? Lmao. Even then I bet for that GPU it's playable with 1080p, I'd hope. I had a GTX 970 + i7-3770k and when Cyberpunk came out I knew it was time to upgrade, like some others I am sure lol. Basically my point is, I don't think you need to upgrade just to play this game or need to upgrade every single year to get the newest hardware unless your job is gaming or streaming or working on your PC from home etc. All depends but for regular gamers, definitely not worth it. SHJJJJJJJEEEEIT buy a damned PS5 at that point man. (I definitely never would although I am on my PC a lot so nothing could really compare.) I guess i could use it on my TV laying in bed that's about it but like I can still do with my PC If I really wanted to. :P

Edit: To fix these shimmering roads set "Effects" option to "Low" and it seems to completely remove this awful sparkling / shimmering for anyone that it bothers. For anyone that is doubting me, try setting this option to "Medium" and see how that looks. ;) LMAO. High and Epic are relatively the same, seems to be just a bad integration or bad AA or some sort. At least this looks much better for now. :D

Adding these (Besides the distance scale) r.Streaming.PoolSize=3000 as well seems to make the textures pop in much quicker and noticeably less blurry textures as well. As I was exploring like say for example there are a few rooms in the arcade building once you start exploring that the floors are so blurry and the textures just don't load in no matter what so idk about that...

Very odd: Indoors Inside of the Arcade in the beginning of the game basically first main mission... I saw weird artifacts on the walls black squares / boxes so I change my "Effects" setting back to "High" and then that fixed that problem. Also no shimmer inside, seems to only be on the pavement. So it seems in certain areas I will be fiddling with this setting until a patch can fix this I hope. :/

One last thing I am using the Ultra Plus mod from Nexusmods so I had to find and edit these values in my Engine.ini but idk if that's helping I will try without it also. Using the Normal not insane version.

Where should this go?

I noticed textures loading slowly immediately after starting the game, so bizzare

Try going here - "%localappdata%\RoboCop\Saved\Config\Windows" then open "Engine.ini" Add at the bottom:

[SystemSettings]
r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=-2
r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.1
r.Streaming.HLODStrategy=2
r.Streaming.PoolSize=3000

I also added these but this is optional. (Disable Lens flare)

r.DefaultFeature.LensFlare=0
r.LensFlareQuality=0

You want to set it to read-only after saving the file then. Might also have to mess with that PoolSize "3000" value and adjust your liking since It does seem to impact performance and I am unsure what the default was I believe 800 I got from Ultra plus mods and it said in there 2000 is sufficient enough but I tried 3000 just in case. I believe if you just put a ; in front of any lines it will ignore said line if you want to test for the difference. Ex: It will ignore just poolsize if you write it like this:

r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=-2
r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.1
r.Streaming.HLODStrategy=2

;r.Streaming.PoolSize=3000

Haven't tested with newest Day one patch but it seems that it's still occurring.

Edit: Also just noticed, that whenever you turn "Effects" to Low setting if you go over to the Pier that overlooks the river I saw the a boat just hovering through air and so I changed it to High and the water reappeared lol.
