No light blue and purple highlights on default silver armor?
You know, I just sat down and watched all three films, and while Robocop 1 armor is less blue than Robocop 2, it still has splashes of color. It's not completely silver.

Same goes for the 3rd film really.

Now I admit, for years I also thought that in Robocop 1 movie his armor was perfectly colorless, but it turns out I was wrong, I guess it was Mandela effect?
Hopefully we'll get movie accurate color mods for both skins at least.

You've seen it in horrible quality on VHS or TV, likely. It was hard to see the tint.

It's not super noticable unless you basically look at a still picture. It's not too big of a deal really but yeah perhaps mods will add variety of colors.

Its the quote from Stephan Dupois, makeup artist of original Robocop, taken from "Robodoc: the creation of RoboCop": "The paint job was like different coats of blues, yellows, purple, silver and so on. So it kind of changed color when he was walking around in different sort of lighting, which was really cool".

On bluray it's very easy to notice. But lesser quality - not so much.

I can attest to this. Playing my bluray of Robocop 2 on my 4K HDR TV makes him so blue that he might as well be a smurf.

flip-flop paint job (these days), also known from cars. took quite a while to see it elsewhere actually. for the movie they used several layers, the modern one contains all the colors already.

should be easy to do with ue5's awesome materials and shaders. well, if they don't patch it, some modder will definitely take care of it.

It was always highly noticable for people who at least once in their lives have seen an "automobile" with pearlescent finish.

I did notice the default in game model is completely silver and I immediately knew it wasn't accurate.

Thank you, I thought I was the only one who noticed this because I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. I noticed it straight away when I first saw footage of the game.

Robocop's armour should not be uniformly silver

"Pearl"/"Mother of Pearl"/"Nacre" is the effect on his chrome.
. . .I don't know why this descriptor has fallen out of fashion in the past 10 years to the point where even professionals describing their work don't seem to recall it -- but that's what you're seeing.
