Denuvo?

Anyone have any info as to whether Robocop will have Denuvo? I refuse to buy any game that comes with it.

As far as I know, Nacon doesn't use that garbage in their games. Reason why I pre-purchased the game (GMG).

Ah, no. I want nothing to do with that intrusive anti-tamper. If the game does have Denuvo I'll wait until it's removed by the publisher and heavily discounted before I buy it.

Like Baldur's Gate 3 which broke every sales record on Steam? The Witcher? CyberPunk? Stardew Valley? There are many, many more DRM-free games on Steam than games with Denuvo and they do not appear to sell any better or worse.

There are misconceptions about DRM and the effect - or lack thereof - it has on piracy. One of them being that using DRM forces pirates to buy games although it rests on nothing but the doomsaying of DRM purveyors.

Like Fideo said, Nacon doesn't use Denuvo. Probably not worth it for such small budget games.
That said, I have never experienced any issues with that DRM. People who claim it slows down games or kills SSDs are mostly just pissy because they can't get stuff for free.

Issues with the middleware have been widely documented: Unplayable games, Performance issues and incompatibilities. Add to this the problems it causes with the Steam deck due to limiting hardware switches to 5 a day. It also causes occasional individual issues at random.

Denuvo gets cracked within weeks, sometimes days. All it does is punish people that I legally paid for the software.
