This has nothing to do with the games man. This has something to do with your computer, your drives, and steam. Sorry I don't have the solution for you, would look into some drive maintenance, but its not the games fault.
And focus primarily on that, then these small patches; that doesn't affect game as a whole. I want to play the game, but how can I... when it keeps freezing, crashing, and stuttering each time I play... with settings set on low? Hell, RE4 I have with mix graphic settings perform better. Luminous need to step up; though sadly, i feel like it is a bit too late for For'stuttering!
What they can at least do is make the game somewhat stable enough to play without the constant concern of wondering how long it takes before the game crashes on you!?
Naja, ist ja nichts neues auf Steam.
P.s. Wenn du glaubst dass du mit Morddrohungen weiter kommst im Leben, dann sollte man dir vielleicht mal ein paar Herren in Schwarz vorbeischicken die dich dann mal in U-Haft stecken für eine psychologische Evaluation.
They should be gone on any 8GB card.
You may still see them with 6GB and you will absolutely see them with anything below that.
I think you need to really try to accept PC gaming for what it is.
This game was primarily marketed as a PS5 showcase... and unfortunately it didn't end up being optimised well enough to really measure up to that task. However you must surely appreciate that the steam deck is nowhere near as powerful as a PS5, so even without seeing the recommended specs, you should be able to anticipate that this game was never intended to be played on a steam deck.
Why and how the store page says 'playable' is beyond me.
Personally, I have every game console, a PC which was the best available to man prior to January 2023... and a handheld PC which is superior to the steam deck...
.... and I have only attempted to play Forspoken on my PC with a 3090ti etc etc...
If I had only a steam deck for PC gaming, I wouldn't buy Forspoken for PC.
That is the simple and assuredly obvious reality you are looking at.
I built my PC purely to have a best case scenario VR gaming experience, and also to be able to play Skyrim, a game that is 12 years old, in the way I would like.
This is the nature of PC gaming.
My PC didn't exist when Forspoken was being made... and yet the developers wanted to pretend they were catering to people who had only just put a PC together the month prior to launch.
That is how things can be on PC.
That might not be fair... but to expect a graphically intensive game to run on the steam deck... is also unfair on the other end of the spectrum.
As I said, I have a handheld PC, and with every purchase I make, I weigh what the circumstances are of how I would like to play the game, and calculate where I will buy the game from there.
For example, you mention Resident Evil 4 remake... actually, due to that game having a VR mode which is exclusive the PSVR2 (probably forever).. I will purchase that game on PS.
I also purchased 'settlers new allies' a game many PC players don't like... and I bought that on PC, on discount... and it runs at MAX settings, on my handheld PC.... I am pleasantly surprised.. it is a recent release and it runs perfectly.
- That is the rare outlier in this day and age.
Specs will only get more demanding.
The handheld PC I backed on kickstarter, already has a new version is testing phase, likely to be released in the next year... and that will be outdated by the time customers get it...
Then consider the constant Unreal Engine and Path Tracing updates... my PC which... I haven't put the final touches on yet... that will absolutely need to updated to keep to my standards... in 5yrs.
Technology keeps updating. If you are going to paddle in the PC marketplace you need to accept that new games will always require new hardware.
*My handheld PC which is superior to the steam deck... is the best handheld PC tech currently on the market, laptop quality... but still... only comparable to the GTX 950 PC graphics card (a graphics card that was entry level, lowest acceptable new quality - around 7-8yrs ago). *
- My PC is massive... what else could one expect?
You can see the minimum and recommended specs before purchasing a game. If it doesn't meet those requirements. Don't purchase the game.
No developer is asking any more than that from any PC customer.
I hope this helps. Good luck on your path traveller.
