Is this game really bad?

I got it, tried it, played 1.8hrs and it is not a fun game for me, it runs smooth, looks relative good, didn't crash, while i would love to see a Forspoken movie to see if she sorts herself out, it however isn't worth playing this game to find out, it just feels.....bad.

Ultimately, each to their own....i personally didn't like it, asked for a refund.

When it comes to the demo and the full game, i played the demo when my system was not that good, i have since upgraded and it runs alot smoother, funnily enough keep RT off and keep FSR off, it runs a solid 60fps.

Yes, full game can run slightly better than demo in some cases. Not that code is different, but some driver settings (=game profile) only apply to full game.
That said, I advise to double check system requirements. For example game installed in HDD rather than SSD, or using Win10 older than 1909 can cause heavy performance issues.

Thanks for the feedback. The demo is definitely playable for me at standard settings, so a driver optimization could make that last needed bit of difference. My computer more than beats the recommended requirements, but now I see that they were basically only guaranteeing 30 fps. I feel like that says a lot, and is always disappointing to see for a target framerate on PC. What PC gamer is shooting for 30 fps with their medium-to-high-end rig?

well, it's been awhile that a game has me hooked for endless of hours and not wanting to put down the controller. I'd say it feels like a Final Fantasy game without saying it is. Other than that, after my 14 hr so far of playtime (bought a day ago from this post), I am enjoying it enough to even deal with a few crashes and bugs here and there...

Mixed bag.

It's not CP2077 or BG3, but it provides some nice action and you get a lot of busy work to do when trying to relax after a day at work.

I find the protagonist quite ok - she swears a lot, but my real life self swears like a drunk sailor, too, so there's that.

Main problems with the game from my point of view:

1. Main city is extremely boring, annoying and feels like it's built to waste as much of your time as possible

2. Pacing is bad - you get skills very late in the game and this really kills a lot of the fun

My recommendation: buy it when cheap and play it. Don't buy for full price, you can get better games for full price, but it surely is worth about 20-30 Euros.

and graphics in demo are nominated for worst blurry/flickering experience in a lifetime imo

I didn't have any issues running this at 4K on a 3080 Ti then on a 4090. Considering this game has the level of parkour it does and run as smoothly as it does is astonishing.

Now, I only got around 100FPS maxed out, and had better performance with DLSS obviously. But the game is smooth all things considered.

Look at it this way. Yknow those new -woke- marvel movies disney keep making ... Storywise , this game is the embodiement of this. But as a videogame. Its INCREDIBLY cringy. But. Gameplay is ok. I just cant stand the plot and yknow theres an issue when you relate a hundred time more with the villain than the protagonist. Game is pretty tho. Especially on PS5.

The open world is really old school 'Ubisoft' vibe. And deserted (for obvious reasons)
One of the worst OW I ever played in fact.

But the gameplay, 'beat em all' is kind of fun. (a little too easy, even on high difficulties, because of the overpowered magic-evade)
Story wise : meh...

Because the most important thing for me is the gameplay, I still enjoy this game atm.
Not a great game, but not bad at all.

Ive got 40 something hours in... unfortunatly, much of the time is repeating play because it likes to crash alot. and I have a modern system with rx6700xt. it seems like it has a memory leak or something. it would be better if it ran better. Now I'm not sure where it ends... it says there are 5 tantras in the world. i don't know if im going to kill them all or just the one in the course of the game. i'm about half way to the first ones home... but I feel like I've close to maxxed out and upgraded spells ect... and am starting to wonder if its worth the bother to explore anymore.

It is mostly exploration for exploration's sake tbh. You can find upgrade materials in those zones but there is an inventory cap for them so it might be worth it to go a bit more directly into the main story until you have at least 3 magic types unlocked or you can even finish the main story and then focus on exploring if you feel like it. There are some dialogue changes if you explore some points of interest before or after the main story but nothing all that major.

She reminds me too much of hostile, hateful and horrible KARENS. People with a galaxy-sized ME! complex who only whine and gripe about everything, and every 2 words is F*CK.

If I could pass ANY harder on this game, I'd need a BYPASS.
