Anyway...
Which means it was shutdown because it no longer exists.
All devs still work on this game, like you or not, belive you or not. Was MERGED. Nothing has changed in fact, if not legally for the company. They keep working on the game, whether some like it or not. That simple.
You can root against the game (I think the height of 'lack of things to do in your free time') But, each one does what they think is best for themselves. But that doesn't change the facts and the fact is that one company was assimilated by another and not because the game, Forspoken is this or that. Live with it.
The studio itself will no longer exist. Which means shutdown. That's fact.
Support has nothing to do with it. And the reason this is happening is because the game failed.
Reedit warriors are really furious on the internet...
I do not have a Redit account. But nice deflection.
Even so, the merger or incorporation of the studio into SquareEnix did not happen for the reasons you 'wish', it does not depend on your opinion. Game will continue to receive updates to those who liked it. That simple. You can cry on the internet, stomp your feet, fight... make 10 million threads here, on reedit or anywhere else, facts don't change by 'wishes'. By the way, if we look at the Staff and the Square page, they are hiring, incorporating studios. Common in this medium.
Live with the FACT :)
Bye, time to play :P
That's because they keep releasing flops.
This was the straw that broke the camels back and has changed how they are going to approach game development in the future.
It's an intergalactic conspiracy.
But if you want to talk about the games industry, about quality, including Forspoken (I don't have an assessment yet) we can talk about it, even so, it doesn't change the fact that one company has absorbed another for reasons other than being tied to a specific game . There are probably many more reasons than a simple product, whether it works, whether it works or not.
In general, today there are transformations in 'big tech', mass layoffs, studio closures, etc. This is a worldwide phenomenon. But I don't think this is a suitable forum for this debate.
Otherwise, there would not have been a merge. Luminous Studios would have been dissolved and employees laid off instead, or something along those lines.
But they were merged. That means they WANTED to keep the developers themselves for whatever reason.
They literally said that Forspoken is going to change how they approach game development in the future. And then a week or so later proceeded to merge the studio responsible for development of Forspoken. Why the strong need to defend this product and not be able to connect the dots.
They do FFXV using this game engine or another version of this game engine, no?
Which this game proved that the engine has issues.
