Idk what they expected charging $135 in my currency and making the game for a non existent audience. You have to have the lowest IQ if you found any of the dialogue funny or entertaining. It's like developers are only targeting children/teens now with their absolute garbage humor and writing skills. Imagine being 30+ years old and writing jokes and dialogue that 0000.1% of players actually find funny, it's embarrassing. Get woke go broke i guess, good riddance.

It wasn't "buyed" by another company it was merged back into the original company that created it in the first place for how bad it was doing.

That's false, Luminous was already part of square. They just sucked so bad, so often that they got disbanded and the crew redistributed. Forspoken may be their greatest failure, but wasn't the first one.
I think these terrible companies must think all gamers are multi millionaires or something

There is a cost of living crisis going on in the world right now, inflation is sky high and they want to charge an insane price for a brand new ip, a badly optimised one to boot with ridiculous hardware requirements when gpu prices are still incredibly high

Just totally beyond delusional. This game never stood a chance

It's "bought", not "buyed". They weren't "bought", they were "restructured" because they were bad.

Also Luminous is--was, I guess now--a subsidiary of Square Enix that failed major time even before Forspoken. By cancelling 3 FF15 DLCs, Luminous caused a rather painful loss on SqEnix. They expected to make up for this loss with Forspoken which they expected to be their flagship project. The game flopped, and the owners of the company are shareholders who do not like to see even more losses made in such a short span of time. So yeah, this is an admission of guilt and shame in business language on Square Enix's part.

If you want to become a fanboy it's fine, but a brainless one really isn't pretty to look at.

If only they could move copies of this game online with their minds maybe they'd still have jobs.

The director of this game should take home the L from their sign as a symbolic gesture acknowledging his failure.
I'd rather they keep them all together in the same company so I can see the developer and know not to buy their game. Now they'll spread their trash into other companies little by little. It's metastatic rather than an isolated tumor.

Excellent point. It's like people infected with a disease spreading out to infect new towns/studios. It's best there's a quarantine of some sort to save everyone else.

Protip: You should have been avoiding all Square Enix games for years if you care about quality and value.
