bored haters of forspoken: company is disbanded!
XD
That's false, Luminous was already part of square. They just sucked so bad, so often that they got disbanded and the crew redistributed. Forspoken may be their greatest failure, but wasn't the first one.
There is a cost of living crisis going on in the world right now, inflation is sky high and they want to charge an insane price for a brand new ip, a badly optimised one to boot with ridiculous hardware requirements when gpu prices are still incredibly high
Just totally beyond delusional. This game never stood a chance
It's "bought", not "buyed". They weren't "bought", they were "restructured" because they were bad.
Also Luminous is--was, I guess now--a subsidiary of Square Enix that failed major time even before Forspoken. By cancelling 3 FF15 DLCs, Luminous caused a rather painful loss on SqEnix. They expected to make up for this loss with Forspoken which they expected to be their flagship project. The game flopped, and the owners of the company are shareholders who do not like to see even more losses made in such a short span of time. So yeah, this is an admission of guilt and shame in business language on Square Enix's part.
If you want to become a fanboy it's fine, but a brainless one really isn't pretty to look at.

NOT!
Protip: You should have been avoiding all Square Enix games for years if you care about quality and value.
