Do people really not know anything about hardware when they build PCs nowadays?
I looked at negative reviews and top review is "I have RTX 4090 and i9 9900k, game runs bad help bad unoptimized game". How the hell someone who have enough money for super expensive RTX 4090 also uses old CPUs like 9900k and probably dont even have proper RAM in XMP or NVM drive. Is it normal in your countries that people have no idea about PCs hardware?

and the most games don't even use that much of CPU they are much mor GPU loaded
(I have an I7 9700k and no game uses 100% till now but most games uses 100% of the GPU)
Put my 4090 in my delidded 8700k@5.0GHz allcore and it was running at 60% at 5120x1440 in most games. Upgraded to a 13700k and im pinned at 100%

I dont think you guys understand how powerful the 4090 is and that these engines dont scale to 16 threads, they want IPC (single core performance)

When you pay $2700 for a GPU id hope you have another $1500 to not waste the $2700 you just spent.
This engine in particular because Luminous is garbage. Square should stick with Unity or UE4/5.

All the gear no idea, plenty of that in any hobby. :)

Is it normal to open up the forum of a game, not buy it, then complain that others have also done the same? If two people talk about a game and both don't purchase the game, do they really have any claim to talk about it? If a Steam sale does a 25% discount but not a 50% discount, is it a real Steam sale? If a pope takes a dump in the woods but there's no bears around to sniff, is it a true dump or just imagined? I don't know. These are the mysteries of life. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

No, 9900k is old cpu, it already failed in many games like Spider-Man on latest patch Witcher, its not good for future games.

I have I9-7920x and 3090 can run spider-Man and Witcher 3 plus this game smoothly with no problems. 9900k is newer and should be able to handle this game with no problems also.

It will run a 4090 at 60%. My 8700K@5.0 could handle a 3090 also, but not a 4090.

Yet to bottleneck my 4090 with a 5600x running games at 4K tbh, CPU is the weakest part of my current setup, got fast gen4 storage, 32gb 3600 with good timings life is good so far in the 4k world. Thankful as I am not prepared to invest in DDR5 and AM5 right now. I would imagine most complaining are running at lower res and do not have the CPU to back up he shift of load from GPU to CPU.

Here i am with i5-7600k with 1070 TI and play RDR2 with 60fps. old =/= bad

I view a game as badly optimised when it has problems running on my GTX 2080 Super, which nowadays would be a high-end card but not ridiculous.
Kain Mightyena Jan 24, 2023 @ 5:52pm
Or maybe the game is just badly optimized, you know just a thought that your empty skull could at least attempt to process. But who am i kidding, you corporate shills are devoid of any common sense.
Dungeoncrawler69 Jan 24, 2023 @ 5:54pm
lol, the i9 9900k - every 3rd party pc builder has stated the performance increase on the newer cpu's are nominal in comparison. nothing more than a money grab from intel. And I quote: if you are doing a lot of simulations, it might be worth upgrading the cpu, but if you are concerned about rendering, upgrading the gpu is a much better investment. that 9900k is no slouch, and cpu performance hasn't really made that many noticeable improvements.

I mean, you're wrong [i.imgur.com], and a 9900k saturates a 4090 just fine in Forspoken. No idea what the reviewer you were talking about's problem was either, but it's certainly not the CPU/GPU combo.

The game runs on the Steam Deck so they must have some really bad hardware if it won't run on their machines. Besides it's not you can just make up stuff on the internet....
CheeZuS H RicE Jan 24, 2023 @ 6:01pm
I would not call a game badly optimized when a 4090 is sitting at 95%plus all the time at 4K. Maybe I have not got to areas of the game that take a nose dive so far so good for me.
PocketYoda Jan 24, 2023 @ 6:03pm
I used to work in systems years ago so i know how. I am behind the times on super modern tech but its not rocket science to read or google.

This game is bad no matter what you know..
