Used In-Game BenchMarks (2080s GPU) (High Temps)

Was using the in-game built benchmark test of the game and found that it will run the GPU hot.... like really hot. 70°C (158°F) gpu temps on a 2080super only running for the first 15sec. This runs way to hot even on standard/low settings.

PC Specs:
GPU: 2080Super
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
Ram: RGB TridentZ 32gm 3200hrz
Drivers: Up-To-Date

Will say this game runs the pc rig I have way to hot. Almost to the point were I could try and cook popcorn on it. Also at those Temps I do not feel safe to run the game. Fear as long term temps as high as that can cause harm to my gpu. As for the gpu market its unlikely I can even upgrade do to there costs. I don't want to replace that what I have that is still good.

My 3080Ti - 80°C. But my house is very hot. Russia has central heating and it is very warm at home.

Still a bit toasty I say. Most games I have played don't even reach to those temps. About 55-60°C.

Unless you're running a water-cooled card, there's no way your temps are that low. Max usage should see your 2080 easily break the 65C mark. 70C is pretty normal.

Eh, most oc cards target 90-95c man, 70c is nothing.
The things run hot, accept it.

Be concerned over an 80c on idle or 100c+ under load

You can use msi afterburner to either crank the fans up during load (+noise, +fans degrade faster) or change the temp limit (obviously will cost you performance)

I used GTX 970 with 83 c for more then 8 years. Your card is more resilient then you think so don't worry it won't get damaged.

Dude, 70c is NOT hot rofl.

GPU's ( especially modern ones ) are designed to operate at MUCH higher temps than that without any issues.

I did not go past 42°C with my watercooled 3080 but I still consider hot compared to normal it may be a side effet of the VRAM being always full
